Comment Curation

Those with Admin permissions can curate comments (see here for an explanation of permissions). The purpose of the Comment Curation page is to filter out any profane, abusive, personal, irrelevant, or otherwise inappropriate comments before they are visible to staff. Comments from member surveys are temporarily withheld after the survey results are received. Executive level users can then review and curate the comments for display to the general staff. Admins have access to the following functionality:

  1. View all comments on the Comment Curation Page.
  2. "Approve" a comment, which publishes it to the Comment Ticker on the Dashboard.
  3. "Pin" and "Unpin" a comment, which moves it to the top of the Comment Ticker.
  4. "Edit" a comment, altering the original content in some way, such as to remove profanity from an otherwise useful comment. The original comment text is retained but remains hidden from view.
  5. "Skip" a comment, which removes it from the Comment Curation page without publishing it.
